This Sunday! @AshevilleGrown and @TheBigCrafty joined forces a few years ago to create one of the best festivals in town and one which supports us unchained and independent local businesses! We’re fortunate to be able to scoop Ice Cream with such fine folks :)
Yesterday Team Hop Ice Cream, (left to right: Charles, me, JJ) managed to be the first team to cross the finish line for the 3rd year in a row. More importantly @OurVoiceNC raised over $37,000! #walkamile #walkamileinhershoes #ourvoice #asheville #avl
This is always a day that has two sides. Yes Team Hop ran a mile in high heels and won a trophy, yes $37000 was raised for an extremely worthy cause. But for every person that contributed to Our Voice for the Walk a Mile Asheville there are a hundred (maybe more, maybe less) who have suffered, who make this organization so important. All we can hope is that our efforts make a difference, that this lends to progress and hope for People… We are all equal. Always. No matter what. And it’s best to always keep in mind that as a whole, we operate much better when we work together…
Much Love and Pleasant Dreams,
Greg

In pursuit of a community that is free from sexual violence, Our VOICE serves all individuals in Buncombe County affected by sexual assault and abuse, through counseling, advocacy and education.
We at The Hop are hoping to raise $750 for @OurVoiceNC as part of Walk a Mile Asheville. We are proud to support this cause and if you can help in any way (either by contributing or spreading the word) Our Voice and the community it serves would be no doubt extremely appreciative.
